About the Author
My name is Kenneth McClendon and I am a video game fan and fresh game developer. My goal is to become a game designer and create my own video games. I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin and received my game design experience from Milwaukee Area Technical College. I have experience in different sections of game design that includes: Content, GUI, Level, and Character Design. During my time in college, I also took classes in programming and animation.
In my free time, I like to play video games, work on my own game ideas, learning music, and drawing. I mostly play Nintendo games and recently, independent titles. My favorite game genre are Adventure games that has action, puzzle solving, or platforming. If you want to know more, check out the About Me section on the site.
This Site
Game-On Ken is a single-person run site. The main website is my portfolio, having projects I have worked on in school. The site is broken into sections:
| Home | Displays my site’s introduction and links to every section. |
| About Me | Contains information about myself in a resume format and extra data related to me. |
| Portfolio | Breaks my video game design experience into projects I have worked on in college.. |
| Game Notes | Have a tip of video game development advice in two to three sentences. The tip can be anything from design, art, or things I learned in school. |
| Contact | If you want to send me a message fill in the information and I will respond back. |
The Blog Post
The other purpose of Game-On Ken is the blog post I will be uploading. My post will be focusing on anything video game related, that can be for fun and educational. I have my post planned to be in certain categories which are: News, Advice, Game Subject, Game Lesson, Personal, and Other. These categories can change over time. I want to use images to try to reference or explain what I am saying in the discussion. The length of my post will determine on the subject and how much I want to say to get my point across.
I want my post to be focused on different targeted audiences. The audiences are for people who play video games, people who want to know game developement, people who don’t know video games, and people who play games and don’t know certain terms. This website is an idea I wanted to do for fun and I hope anyone who reads it will learn something.
Conclusion
Game-On Ken is just a website made from someone who likes video games and want to make them. I am not a game creator expert and I am still learning a lot. I will make post whenever I can because Game-On Ken is a side project for me. My goal is to make it interesting for my readers and have fun creating post. I will make updates to the site appearance and content as time moves forward.
This is my first website I have done and am glad to have it ready for everyone. I am excited to see your opinions in the comments sections, when that is ready later. I hope I learn something from your comments too. See you at a blog post.
